PNEUMATIC
Rapid indent marking uses a hardened stylus to indent the surface of the parts. The pneumatic stylus can produce alphanumeric text, or logos at a very high speed ( up to 10 characters / second ) without any consumables. An extensive range of materials can be marked, including plastic, glass, leather, paper, wood, expanded polystyrene, and most metals including hardened steels (up to 62HRC). |
ELECTROMAGNETIC
The vibrations of the pin are produced by an electromagnet in the stylus housing. This technology gives a very precise impact especially useful for high quality DataMatrix™ codes or 5x7 font marking. Marking depth is electronically controlled for a perfect consistency of marking. This type of marking is very well suited to aerospace parts. |
