TECHNIFOR is launching its new Mark'n Read™ solution which combines marking of a two-dimensional Data Matrix™ code, with verification and automatic reading by industrial vision tools.
TECHNIFOR has already installed more than 35,000 machines throughout the world and has over 25 years experience in industrial traceability systems. In partnership with specialists in industrial vision, the company has developed know-how which enables it to offer turnkey solutions, from the marking of Data Matrix™ codes by Micro-Percussion or laser to quality verification and automatic reading by CCD cameras.
A solution which makes the automatic monitoring of parts possible all along the manufacturing process. This new automatic parts traceability method is highly reliable and secure, as the data read in the 2D code is transmitted and recorded in a database in real time at each stage of production.
A unique identifier directly marked on the part facilitates accurate processing of the history of parts supplied, which do not conform or are on customer return. All data (time/date, shift codes, test or measurement results) recorded for each product and collected by camera, are stored in real time in a database. By combining an alarm or emergency stop to automatic parts identification at each stage of manufacturing, a non-conforming part can instantly be prevented from moving on to the next operation.
The database can be sorted and programmed to provide useful indicators for tool test planning and maintenance programs. Other data may be used for stock management or of production speeds analysis.
