• Objective : ensure 100% traceability of the rough brake discs of car type XM AND 605.
• Marking data :
  - number corresponding to the production day,
  - serial number
• Cycle time : 19 seconds.

A complete ergonomic work station designed to optimize the integration of :
- the marking system : CN 31 C head fixed on a device which rotates around the part to mark on the circular cone
- shaped surface of the disc,
- the positioning of the parts,
- the clamping of the disc with respect its shape and material,
- additional equipment : Glue for assembly - Weighing the units.

We have also added a bar code reader to read pre-printed labels already fixed to the part. This information is transmitted to the TECHNIFOR system for marking.

Equipment involved :

• Compact head marking with extended stylus
• DRT2P (head rotation device n° 2 flat)
• custom software.

Character fonts chosen : OCRA fonts because the data marked on the cast iron part must be perfectly legible after manufacturing.
