Scribing: for deep, noiseless marking
|
|
Scribing enables you to mark with a continuous stroke for high readability. Compared to other marking technologies(Micro-Percussion, striking, etc.), scribing limits noise levels for permanent marking on metal parts . Compared to engraving, deep scribing is much faster, and it does not use consumables. By choosing one of Technifor's 3 marking technologies (Micro-Percussion, scribing, and laser YAG), you are guaranteed a reliable marking machine adapted to your industrial environment.
To ensure traceability and protect yourself from having parts pirated, the automotive industry marks vehicle parts systematically. Certain markings are required, such as the VIN number (Vehicle Identification Number), which must appear on all car bodies in accordance with ISO standards. But marking can also be a logo or a 2D - Data Matrix™ code for automatic traceability using industrial vision tools.
Technifor can help you select the machine that best fits your marking needs based on the hardness of the material to mark and the desired marking depth. Among the 31,000 Technifor marking units installed in the world, Micro-Percussion and laser YAG (diode pumped) technologies are the top choices for permanent marking directly on parts. Scribing-which Technifor developed around three years ago-is currently experiencing increasing success. Its major advantage: noise levels are reduced for sheet metal marking. The strike is more powerful, so there is a stronger vibration effect on the car body. Scribing also has advantages for marking thin parts. The marking (text, logos, traceability variables, time-stamping, etc.) is done with a carbide or diamond point, which, under pneumatic pressure, penetrates the marking surface. The point's continuous travel is very precise (within 0.025 mm) because it is attached to an X/Y cross movement chassis and driven by a totally independent Control Unit.
The high-readability continuous stroke is achieved without consumables or percussions, and noise levels are limited (to below 72 dB(A)).
The SV312: deep marking
Because of its scribing experience, Technifor is able to offer a range of machines today that are adapted to meet different needs. The brand new SV312 in particular is designed for integration into vehicle assembly lines. Thanks to automatic text incrementation (variables from one vehicle to another) and the connection with the chassis number (VIN) database, this machine favourably replaces traditional marking. It was designed for deep marking of up to 0.3 mm on 110 HB steel, and for rapid marking: cycle time is under 10 seconds for the nineteen 7 mm tall characters that make up VIN numbers.
The SV312 is a fuel-efficient solution that does not use consumables. The machine is easy to integrate and does not require developing specific programs. The SV312 works with the independent Control Unit UC312, which is equipped with an LCD graphic screen and a built-in program.
The CN312Cr: traceability instrument
The CN312Cr is another scribing solution designed for the automotive industry. Its compact head is especially designed to mark parts of vehicles that open. In comparison with other marking techniques, this machine allows you to reduce noise levels (under 72 decibels). It is noticeably more compact than other machines and therefore allows for easier integration into your assembly line. It meets the your traceability needs for sheet metal parts, and for inscriptions of logos, text, and other time-stamping data. The CN312Cr works with the UC112 independent Control Unit, which integrates a maintenance aid that estimates the wear of the point and can send a warning to the machine via an all-or-nothing output.
With 50 skilled distributors and 16 subsidiaries around the world, Technifor guarantees that service and technical support will be nearby.
