| Traceability involves marking when it comes to identification. It enables a product to be connected to the appropriate parts of registered information.
There are many ways to identify a product. Nevertheless, direct marking offers enormous advantages to the user because it is robust and can be read automatically. Marking directly on the products can be done with Micro-percussion and laser technologies. Thanks to the development of coding this marking can contain more and more information (coding done with a matrix, for example). In this way, it is possible to mark a component for its entire life-span (machine number, worker, suppliers, batch number) and to guaranty the reliability of the system. Marking pieces of information directly on a product represents a major asset which guarantees the reliability of the system. The more precise the registration of information is, the more reliable and exploitable it is. |
